Moementum Principal Jim Morris has left Moementum’s day-to-day to accept a role as Chief Consulting Officer at our partner diversity firm, White Men as Full Diversity Partners (WMFDP). In the last few years much of Jim’s work has turned towards partnership across difference and equity in organizational life.  The growth of WMFDP and the potential to make a huge difference in how people work across race, gender, and all others lines of difference matter now more than ever.  We are all thrilled at this new opportunity for Jim to lead and to do good in the world by managing the consulting pool in support of Fortune 100 companies.  We will truly miss him at Moementum. But this move makes sense.   His contributions have been significant to the firm. His powerful thought leadership and support will continue as Advisor and husband.

Stay in touch with Jim!

Jim often writes about inclusion at work and appreciates your feedback. “This work,” he told me, “is about the elimination of racism, sexism and homophobia in and out of the workplace.” Jim is a regular contributor on thedailymuse.com, sharing his wisdom about leadership, management, work relationships, personal development and diversity. Check out his article 5 Ways to Be an Inclusive Leader:

“Work may be the only place you regularly have to get along with people you might not otherwise choose to interact with. In fact, as you read this, it’s likely you pictured a certain person in your head. But that’s one of the reasons why being an inclusive leader is so important.

Jim also contributes to Men Advocating for Real Change, the MARC blog. He has articulated the luxury of not noticing, how “members of the dominant group—my group—rarely notice our own group-ness. We prove that we don’t see it when we make comments like, ‘Why do you people (anyone from a non-dominant group) always look at things as if it has to do with race, or gender, or sexual orientation? We’re all just people, aren’t we?'” Read more on the MARC blog.

Moementum buckles in

Moementum continues to focus on work that helps people bring their best to work every day driven by the belief that people are what make organizations great.  Our core work of culture assessment and evolution, people-centered leadership, and team development continues with vigor helping business be a force for good in the world.

Moe also recently launched her book with co-author Cammie Dunaway, Fit Matters.  Check out her recent podcast with Pete Mockaitis at Awesome at Your Job, and an interactive checklist at Conscious Company.
